Regarding wheelbarrows, *_MAKE SURE TO GET NARROW, DEEP ONES TO KEEP THE WEIGHT OVER THE WHEEL!!!_* I can' overemphasize this; when I was young and didn't know any better, I blew out both knees moving cement in a shallow, wide wheelbarrow and trying to keep the shifting weight balanced left my knees the size of cantelopes the next day.

An old door probably has lead paint. Best to leave it and put two coats over it. I definitely would not have sanded it. a new door would have saved you pollution , time,labor and expensive trips to the store.

I find with the citristrip it works best if you cover with plastic wrap after applying then wait the 30 min to an hour it works much better. I also like to strip old paint off by applying heat with a heat gun and scrap with putty knife !!! The dome is coming along awesome! Keep up the great work!

strip the door in the shade....the longer you leave it the more it dries up

Oh my goodness, Ashley! One of the best thumbnails if not the Best thumbnail I have ever seen on YT!! You look absolutely gorgeous and the colors on the walls of the done as your back drop is like catching a butterfly drinking from the last few drops as the sun comes up high enough to kiss the last of the drops for itself!! Just beautiful!! Female here, a Mom and Grandma, not trying to hit on you, nor am I infatuated or starstruck, lol!!! Most women should be complimented on all that they do and are, even more so, especially with a child or two or more and/or a husband. Their job is 24/7/365 a year. It doesn’t stop just because you are sick, or need a vacation or whatever, you are still on the clock. Not that you are one with a lack of compliments, but I try to hand them out with love when I can!!! Y’all have done such a beautiful job on the dome!!! I'm loving the floor chimes, that is so cool. I would imagine if one wanted to, they could be filled just so to make different tones and become an in tune set of musical chimes!! The finished product is just going to awe inspiring!!! I think paint stripper need to be applied on the shade. Once it is dry it doesn't work that well. Also, I've seen people put a plastic bag, or any tipe of plastic, just to make sure the paint stripper doesn't dry that fast. But as always, you did a great job no matter the challenges.

The barbed wire isn't only used to hold the bags together, it is acting as tension reinforcement, same as rebar in concrete. The bag itself fills that roll to a degree, though it still seems prudent to add more reinforcement when there arent vertical through supports.

Ashley and Jonathan, have ever thought to taking the chicken coop and use that basic structure, modify, add to, roof, bathrooms etc. to turn into your home. The basic, hardest work has been done; add wall for bedrooms and the center for kitchen. It would take imagination, but it would safe you a lot of work. Chickens? Move them to the old goat pen. I just think of the amount of work you have ahead of you to create your home. Love you guys ❤

Next time you use the citrus strip cover the area with Saran wrap, it keeps it from drying out too fast. I have lived in the 2nd driest state for a long long time. Stripper is different in 10% humidity.

From watching the videos I get the impression that super adobe is much more labor intensive than hyper. Will you eventually do a breakdown and comparison between the two techniques? Isn't Casa de Caca close enough in size that you could compare the two?
